"Skä-noñh" is an Onondaga greeting meaning "peace and wellness."

Indigenous peoples in the US and Canada have been put in constant existential crises throughout the ongoing era of violent and oppressive colonization. COVID-19 has compounded these crises. Thanks to long-term systemic inequity, Native communities face high rates of underlying health conditions, widespread food insecurity, limited access to safe drinking water, limited access to healthcare, and are categorically left out of state and federal institutional funding efforts. Infection rates are nearly 4 times higher in Native communities than in others, and with elders particularly vulnerable to COVID-19, these communities face a great risk not only to their present health and livelihoods but to their very culture, language, history, and intergenerational ways of life.

100% of proceeds from this track will go to the First Nations COVID-19 Emergency Response and Resiliency Fund. This fund is working to equitably and quickly distribute funds and grants to Native-led organizations and community groups to provide support where it is most urgently needed.
